Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to conduct a dozen virtual training classes for participants in the Philippines on the response to African Swine Fever outbreaks. These sessions have covered a variety of topics including biosecurity, depopulation, carcass disposal, and facility decontamination.
During this time, I’ve worked with many amazing partners including the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture, the US Embassy, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, SciLore, LLC, Black and Veatch, Endec Inc., and Global Medical Technologies Manila. These partnerships have allowed us to reach first responders and veterinarians at all levels of government along with private veterinarians, local government units, and industry professionals
Our most recent session, African Swine Fever Updates: A Webinar Series: Farm Biosecurity: Day to Day and TAD Response, was a great success with several hundred participants from around the Philippines.
